Plot synopsis

In 1972, the national teams of the USSR and Canada played a super series of eight friendly matches, four of them in Canada and the next four in Moscow. The stakes of the matches, both for the players and the countries, were enormous. The sports tournament became a roller coaster ride, where displays of sporting mastery alternated with accusations of foul play, controversies over refereeing and personal dramas of the players.
