Plot synopsis

Documentary film about the inhabitants of the north of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), in the district of Anabar (Dolgan-Evenki). The protagonists are reindeer herders, folk craftsmen, singers, fishermen and amateur artists. Each of them could have chosen a different life, trading the harsh conditions of the Arctic for the comforts of urban life, but they have remained faithful to their national traditions and their homeland, clinging to the conviction that their children will not lose the link with their roots either.
