The film tells about the project of development of sheep breeding - sheep herds in the Republic of Buryatia, initiated by the head of the Buddhists of Russia and implemented with funds allocated by Russian President V.V. Putin. One of the most successful places where this project was implemented is Noekhon Island in the Selenga region of Buryatia. It was here that the famous documentary filmmaker Elena Demidova went to shoot a film. Unfortunately, "Noekhon Island" became her last work: on January 4, 2024, she died, and it was her friends and colleagues who finished editing the film.
