The plot is based on the final football match in Leningrad. The Leningrad team "Zarya" and the Western European team "Reefs" are playing. Sergei Tamantsev, the son of the coach and the best player of "Zarya", visited a girl he knew the day before and returned to the base only in the morning, for which he was suspended from participating in the match. But when one of the players gets injured, Tamantsev Sr. has to let Sergei out on the field...
