Plot synopsis

The documentary series by Nikolay Svanidze is dedicated to 1915 in the history of Russia and the famous adventurer - Grigory Rasputin.
In military terms, this was one of the most difficult periods for the country. In addition, 1915 was the last year in Rasputin's life. The murderers and their victim met. Long before that, Grigory had a premonition that his fate was hanging by a thread. He managed to convince his crowned patrons that with his death they would perish too.
A lot has been written and argued about Rasputin's influence on Russian politics. Less well known is that the old adventurer was against Russia's participation in the First World War, and who knows, if he had managed to break the emperor's stubbornness, perhaps the fate of the country would have turned out differently...
The film features writers Boris Vasiliev and Vasily Aksenov, permanent secretary of the French Academy of Sciences E. Carrère d'Encausse and academician Alexander Nikolaevich Yakovlev.
