An era of unprecedented freedom dawned in the country. In an instant, the wildest dreams of Russian revolutionaries and other opponents of the tsarist regime came true.
It seemed that Russia was in for a new rise and prosperity. Instead, the country received devastation, economic crisis and defeats at the front. Soon came another shock - the October Revolution.
