Silis (from sakha - roots) is a olonkho-documentary film about life in Sakha villages and its inhabitants. The geography of the film covers the vast territory of the Republic of Sakha from the shores of the Amga River to the Laptev Sea shores. The heroes of the film are regular village workers: milkmaids, reindeer herders, fishermen, teachers, horse breeders, farmers, folk craftsmen. Documentary footage of daily routine in Sakha villages is intertwined with the sakha epic Olonkho, written and performed by the young actress Anastasia Alekseeva.
