The heroes of our film are Himalayan bears. We accompany viewers on a journey through the pristine cedar and deciduous forests of the Russian Far East. We will discover the world of the Ussuri taiga, full of dangers, fears, and discoveries, through the eyes of little bear cubs. Our guide to the world of the Ussuri forests and the Himalayan bear will be zoologist Sergei Kolchin, a specialist in large predatory mammals of the Far East. For 20 years, Sergei has been studying the behavior and ecology of the Himalayan bear. Over the years, he has cared for orphaned bear cubs and returned to nature children who had lost their mothers through human error. Long months spent in the forest with the cubs allowed Sergei to learn many previously unknown things about the Himalayan bear, and the unique video footage he collected served as the basis for this film.
