A story about children who come from around the world to a pioneer camp on the Black Sea coast. A disaster breaks into this peaceful life: radiation sickness strikes a Japanese girl, Ineko. The doctor told her that she would surely recover if she folded 1,000 paper cranes. The children experience her illness as their own pain and vow to prevent another Hiroshima.
