Plot synopsis
The documentary series "Born in the USSR" is a unique cinematic chronicle, launched in 1989 and continuing for over thirty years.
The series' creators trace the lives of twenty children from different republics of the former Soviet Union, revisiting their stories every seven years. This new film is dedicated to the age of 35 – an age of maturity and questioning, where one finds oneself at the midpoint of life. It is a series about the transition to adulthood across several generations, about the search for self and how the individual changes – and with them, the world.
