An elderly man refuses to leave his native village, whose inhabitants have long since moved away.
To stand up to the local authorities, who have their own designs on the land in the mountains, he tricks his son and grandchildren into coming from Moscow – they are to help their grandfather turn the village into an eco-tourism destination. The family members get a chance to reconnect with their roots, see each other in a new light and become a close-knit, loving family.
