The story is set in 1988
A mysterious object falls in the vicinity of a small Soviet town located near a powerful missile defence radar system. Lyokha, Tolya and Syoma, three ordinary Year 6 pupils, set off in search of the meteorite, hoping to achieve fame and glory. Whilst wandering through the woods, Lyokha goes missing. The police search for him in the forest, setting off a chain of events that leads one of the locals to come into contact with something very strange. Soon, mysterious events begin to unfold in the town…
