Plot synopsis
In the sands of Central Asia, a regiment of Red Army soldiers advances.
The regiment's best shooter is a woman, Marioutka, her record is forty victims among the White Guard.
During the last clash, Lieutenant Govopoukha-Otrok was taken prisoner. He will become the forty-first mentioned in Marioutka's service record, and during the entire time that the two of them remain alone face to face, in this universe of sand, sky, sea, strong contradictory feelings will agitate them.
