Farce based on the plot of a French vaudeville. Lina Milanskaya, traveling accompanied by her patron, the captain, meets Pierre Moshkin. The captain becomes a witness to a scene of declarations of love between Pierre and Lina. In a rage, the captain leaves his beloved. Lina does not know how to manage money, and she is threatened with an inventory of property. However, the bailiff Khvostikov turns out to be Moshkin's father-in-law. In the end, Khvostikov and Moshkin are discovered in Lina's apartment by their wives and the fierce captain. The film has been preserved without captions.
