Special screening in honor of Egor Letov from Omsk. “Civil Defense” was, for many, the most original and lively band in the entire history of rock music in Russia. However, the meaning of life and activity of its creator Egor Letov goes far beyond the framework of Russian rock (in the strict sense, he was never included in it) and even goes far beyond Russian culture. Letov was a visionary on a global scale - symbolically, his death almost coincided with the death of Western musicians of the same profile, such as Syd Barrett, Arthur Lee and Sky Sekson. Letov’s legacy has yet to be assessed, and the content of these archive videos is already a first step in this direction.
