During the deportation of peoples of the North Caucasus in 1944 (Chechen -Ingush) by the Stalin's order, many of them fled to the mountains from the NKVD soldiers. So did our heroes: Dowd and Seda. They dreamed of a different life, but were forced to live away from their families. Bad feeling caused them to return to their native village. They have witnessed the terrible penalty: 700 people from nearby villages were burnt alive in the stables.
