Andrei lives with his sick mother who suffers from a serious illness, schizophrenia. His relatives are tired of fighting: the father left her a long time ago and has another family, the sister has gone far away and has not given news of her for several years. Only Andrei persists and does not give up: day after day, he takes care of his mother and gathers money and papers to have her treated in Germany. But fate is relentless against our hero. The day before his departure, his mother dies... Andrei's world collapses... He then sets off to talk to his sister, look his father in the eyes, see more clearly within himself...
"The Son" is a fable, a dream. At the base of the film a simple subject on the complex relationships of the son with his parents and, above all, with himself. A film about relationships that lead to a tragic outcome.
