USSR, June 2, 1962. The regional councilors appealed to the army, and the communist leadership in Moscow, without wasting time, gave the order to open fire on the demonstrators. Immediately, among the citizens gathered in front of the building of the Municipal Executive Committee (town hall), the first victims fell, including children who had come to watch the events, perched in the trees. The city and country authorities managed to suppress information about this tragedy by classifying it as top secret.
