Football for the blind appeared in Russia in 2004 thanks to the titanic efforts and unwavering energy of coach N. N. Beregovoy. In September 2016, the guys will go to the Paralympic Games in Rio. The hero of the film is Yevgeny Shilaev, who was born into a family of visually impaired people. He completely lost his sight as a child. Despite the complete inability to play sports (and team sports at that), young Yevgeny convinced not only his parents but also his teachers that he absolutely needed to train. In the end, Beregovoy took him under his wing, and now Yevgeny is one of the pillars of our team. “If a person cannot rise above himself, what a fool he would be.”
