Plot synopsis
The hero of this film, Anatoly Lebed, is a character with a completely incredible biography and a fantastic character. He was a lieutenant colonel of the Russian Airborne Forces, a man who personified war. Anatoly-Rambo. He fought in five wars and died in the most absurd way. Very little was known about his life. In fact, the details of such a specific professional activity do not make it to the front pages of newspapers. Lebed himself spoke little and did not like to speak publicly about his past. For Lebed, war was simply his job and, as was right, he kept quiet about his medals and injuries. But the photographs from his personal archive (over a thousand) allow us to shed light on the enigmatic character of Anatoly Lebed. He was passionate about photography and carefully documented his life and times, as if he had a feeling that this would be indispensable to future generations.
