The author of the film was once lucky enough to find a real treasure: a reel of 16mm film in good condition on which the life of his grandmother, the legendary storyteller Kaissa, was recorded. This very valuable amateur film was made between 1930 and 1960 by the Russian-Swiss Robert Krotte (cameraman) and the Spanish photographer Enrique Mendes. Period footage, supplemented by today's animation, gives a poetic and lively portrait of this delightful woman who showed true courage when the Second World War forced her family to leave the Russian land forever.
