Plot synopsis
A group of students from an American university arrive in Altai to visit the parents of a former member of their group, Karine, a young girl from these places, who was killed in America in mysterious circumstances. Karine's brother happens to be the local shaman. After a cordial welcome, he suggests that the friends take part in a reconciliation ritual to symbolically release Karine's spirit into the heavens. But something goes wrong and an evil spirit is released, which could only have appeared during the ritual if Karine's murderer was present. The evil spirit lodges itself sometimes in one hero, sometimes in another, thus transforming them into merciless killers. To stop the evil and save their lives, the friends must understand who killed Karin and why...
