In 1917 during the October Revolution in Russia hundreds of families, supporters of the Tsar and Imperial Russia, were forced to flee to Europe and among other places took refuge in France. Grouping together these families organized youth camps to preserve Russian culture and the Orthodox faith, driven by the desire to return one day to Russia, thinking that "Great Russia" would rise from its ashes. A hundred years later the nostalgia is still there...
