The film introduces the audience to the history of Russia through the works of the sculptor, People's Artist Vladimir Alexandrovich Surovtsev. Various periods of history have been covered in the author's works: from the Russian knights to the present day. Surovtsev's monuments are erected in sixteen countries of the world. The main theme of the sculptor's work is war, its goal - to perpetuate the memory of the heroes of the Fatherland. The search for the remains of our soldiers, their graves, the creation of memorial monuments to their glory occupies an important place in the film.
Sculptor Vladimir Surovtsev is the author of the monument to the Russian Expeditionary Force in Paris.
