The hero of the film is the Russian poet, playwright and actor Yuri Yurchenko, who has dual French and Russian nationality. Not indifferent to injustice, in 2014, during the Donbass War, he left Paris for Donetsk and joined the ranks of the militia of the PRD (People's Republic of Donets), then became military commander of the PRD. Once captured by the Ukrainian Nazis, he resisted torture, survived, was traded for Ukrainian prisoners of war. Back in Russia, he began working to save the PRD militias captured in the fighting.
