Plot synopsis
In one of the bedrooms of the home of the spinning mill live four young weavers: Katia, Tamara, Polina and Zina. Circumstances resulted in Katia being accused of dishonesty. All the evidence is against her. Katie has to face the breakup with the man she loves who doesn't believe her. She leaves the factory and goes to a construction site far away.
But her friends from the Komsomol committee are actively involved in Katia's story. They believe her, convinced that Katia is honest. Zina played a harmful role in what happened to Katia. Finally she admits her fault. Katia's friend, the young mason Stépane faces difficult trials. He is an honest guy who only once, due to a combination of circumstances, has committed a fault towards Katia that he will then try to redeem. But Katia cannot forgive the offense inflicted by Stépane at a very difficult moment in her life.
