Plot synopsis
«Karelia is a land where the oral folk tradition, crafts, and,
most importantly, the Old Belief, the foundation of the Russian
spirit, have been preserved. The film featured the primate of
the Russian Orthodox Old Belief Church – Metropolitan of
Moscow and All Russia Kornily, director of the All-Russian
Pushkin Museum S.Nekrasov, rector of the Academy named
after Ilya Glazunov, People’s Artist of Russia Ivan Ilyich
Glazunov, Karelian storyteller Oleg Skobelev. One of the main
characters of the film is Lyudmila Balekhova, the keeper of
the chapel of Zosima Solovetsky».
