The action takes place in our time: a fascinating criminal intrigue unfolds in one of the large regional cities. At the center of it is the prosecutor's office investigator Pafnutiev, who, due to the nature of his service, is forced to face not only the criminal elements of the city, but also the entire official city leadership.
