Through song, the haunting spectre of grief is poetically expressed in this updated Yakut Epic. As two sisters meet in the space between life and death, their past and present relationship is unveiled as the younger sister returns from St. Petersburg. Yakut tradition, language and storytelling are brilliantly staged in an atmospheric and vaporous way.
