The film takes place in winter in a gray city with narrow streets. A choral concert will take place in one of the houses, in the theater. The choir soloist is rushing there with all her might. People are crowding in the foyer - buzzing, taking off their coats, heavy winter jackets. After the bell rings, the hall fills with conversations, smiles, giggles, grumblings... The audience quiets down only when the choir appears on stage. The figures of the spectators become weightless, begin to tear away from their seats, the singing of the choir lifts people to unattainable heights. But then the choir fell silent, late at night people calmly, slowly, dispersed. The soloist and conductor come out, the theater windows go out.
