Edith Södergran is a Swedish-speaking Finnish poetess, born in 1892 in St. Petersburg. She spent almost her entire short life in the village of Raivola (modern Roshchino, Leningrad Region), where she died in 1923 at the age of 30. There she wrote almost all of her works, which brought her fame as a classic of Swedish literature and one of the founders of 20th-century modernism. The film tells about what inspired her creativity and the development of her poetry.
