Plot synopsis
Donatas Juozovich Banionis – Soviet and Lithuanian actor and director. People's Artist of the USSR (1974). Winner of the Lithuanian National Culture and Arts Prize (2013).
In 1974, Donatas Banionis was elected deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, where he remained until 1979. In 2018, Russian media reported that he had been a KGB agent from 1970 to 1974. This was disputed by Lithuania.
