The film is about the only hospital in Russia for wild big cats. This is the story of Dmitri and Yana Kim, former circus performers, who decided to completely change their lives. They first sold their apartment and car to save the big cats, then left their small homeland for the Leningrad region and moved closer to the big city, with the opportunity to quickly provide veterinary care to their big cats. This is the story not of tigers but of people, an attempt to understand what motivates them and how it came about that tigers and lions became their family.
