On the Pacific coast of Mexico, in the region that Ina Maria chose as her home but where she lived for too short a time, her father and younger sister Una set off on a journey, retracing her route. Here, amid the amazing and resilient nature of the mangroves—in a lagoon scarred by hurricanes but reborn again and again—they begin to navigate the fragile space of loss.
