Plot synopsis
In the upcoming elections in the non-existent Kuibyshev Oblast, businessman Andrei Obolensky, at the instigation of the country’s leading political strategist, is set to become a spoiler candidate against the incumbent governor, Koretsky. The spoiler’s task is to siphon votes away from Morozov, the main rival, and then withdraw from the election in favour of Koretsky. But the further the game goes, the more Obolensky gets a taste for it. It is no longer clear who is playing against whom, and, more importantly, what is at stake for each of them.
