Spring 1945. The Soviet army is already on German territory. The soldiers are intoxicated by the foretaste of victory. They remember forgotten joys and dream of a peaceful world and a simple life. They feel that everything is over and are almost happy. They do not yet know that a long road to the east awaits them.
