On the shore of a wonderful lake, well shaded near the sands of Kazakhstan, there are four solid little houses surrounded by vegetable gardens. There lived hermits: Father Mathieu, and grandmothers Veronia, Maroussia and Lena. They lived happily, in harmony, helping each other. But one day they receive a visit from strangers – scientists from Moscow who had lost their way – who unwittingly disturb the routine of this quiet refuge…
