Adaptation of a story by Chekhov. The author of the letter, wishing to enter into a relationship with his new neighbor who has probably just arrived from the capital in the neighboring villa, suggests that they discuss "scientific questions" by adopting the position of "common sense." And he has an irrefutable argument for his point of view: "This cannot be because it can never be." We still repeat today this phrase by Antosha Chekhonte which has become proverbial in the literal and figurative sense.
