In Ukraine there was a civil war. The servant Motria dreams of getting married. In the city the power has changed, the courtiers too. But the fiancés, like the power, were unreliable.
One day, a Red Army regiment commanded by Shchors entered the city. The company commander fell in love with Motria, swearing that he would remain eternally faithful to her and confirming his commitment in writing with the regimental seal.
