Interior Ministry undercover captain Sergei Kutepov returns home to Moscow after a dangerous mission. Upon his return, he learns that his wife is cheating on him. But that's not the only problem Kutepov faces. Kutepov's friend, secret service officer Tikhonov, is killed while trying to infiltrate drug dealer Caesar's gang. Kutepov's superiors believe that Tikhonov has been betrayed by one of their own. Kutepov is given the task of infiltrating Caesar's gang to find the "mole."
