This film is about Rudolf Nureyev, the great dancer of the 20th century, the star of classical and modern ballet. The starving kid from the city of Ufa who grew up in a poor family far removed from the world of dance, owes his rise only to himself, to his stubbornness and, of course, to his talent. Many people have talent, but there is only one Nureyev, a man who had an extraordinary life. A Russian dancer who, after fleeing the USSR in incredible conditions, thrilled Paris, electrified London, made the hearts of Americans, Canadians, Italians, Austrians vibrate. A mature master, a great master, who directed the ballet of the Paris Opera and gave it a new artistic life. He had a passionate, bubbling, freedom-loving nature, an explosive temperament that has given rise to many legends to this day. Without this, Nureyev would not have been able to have his talent recognized. Without his provocative impertinence, Nureyev's incomparable style of dance would not have existed.
