The subject of the film "Home, Sweet Home" does not seem complicated: it is the story of two immigrant workers, a Ukrainian and a Georgian, who build a second home for a rich man. The external forces that will destroy this well-regulated operation and make it uncontrollable are represented by a fragile being holding a plate of hot pirozhkis in her hands, namely the mistress of the neighboring house, who is also the wife of the village "sheriff"...
The story ceases to be trivial when the director directs his camera inside the human soul. The Georgian worker sleeps and sees beautiful dreams coming from the farthest of faraway places. These are dreams about something sad that has already happened but that we do not yet know, about something that we could change if we were at the House. Thus the main character turns out to be the House, the one that is being built, the one that we left, the one that was destroyed, the birthplace (we can continue this list of qualifiers endlessly).
