Plot synopsis
During World War II, four people find themselves on an island in Lake Ladoga: a nun, a Red Army captain, a young girl, and the shipwrecked Italian soldier she is in love with. Each has his or her own truth and beliefs: faith, patriotism, and love. All have the same goal: to survive.
