Plot synopsis
The events take place in the Moscow area in 1965. At the heart of it is the story of the hunt for a torturer who, during the war, on the orders of the Germans, shot prisoners, partisans and civilians. It is ultimately the particular story of the civil war waged by a monster against her compatriots. At the time of the war, she was barely 20 years old but she had already carried out more than 1,500 executions. She would shoot her victims with a machine gun, hidden behind a child's mask of a rabbit. Then she would down a bottle of booze and the next day, she would reappear in public, without a mask, and lead an ordinary life, like other people... Hence the extreme difficulty, after the war, in unmasking this criminal. The case was entrusted to a chief inspector. And his suspicions fell on several women in turn...
