Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad are the two names of the one city, symbolising two eras. The film tells about an attempt of the younger generation to understand and perceive the heroic past of the city and at the same time describes the story of Elizaveta Novozhenina, who has survived the Blockade and other essential events of Leningrad’s history. The film shows how the city itself, its culture, spirit and history can unite the fates of completely different people, who are total strangers and are sometimes absolutely unlike each other.
