André is an oceanologist specializing in the poles. However, he admitted that he has always loved animals and that when he entered the Institute of Advanced Studies, he wrongly believed that oceanology was the science that studied fish. Nevertheless, he worked half his life in his specialty, namely crisscrossing the oceans observing glaciations. It was during one of these expeditions that he began to take photos, simply because he wanted to keep the imprint of majestic nature.
One day, André suffered a major trauma, as a result of which he became seriously ill and paralyzed. But, showing titanic willpower, he was able to get back on his feet and found meaning in life through macrophotography.
Now André is completely happy: his works from the series "Histoires de fourmis" are known throughout the world.
