Born on April 2, 1965 in the city of Gukovo,
Rostov Region. Graduated from the
Russian Academy of Theatre Arts with the
following specializations: in 1992 as
a theatre and film actor; in 1994 as
a drama director. In 1993, he staged “The
Illusionist’s Widow”, based on his own
play, which premiered in Utrecht, Holland.
From 1990 to 2023, he wrote more than
a dozen scripts and plays, many of which
were translated into foreign languages.
Along with the theatre, he was engaged in
making films. Worked in France as
a director. In 2002, he organized the TATA
STUDIO film company; he is its general
producer to this day. His films have
received awards at film festivals.
