She was born on September 20, 1960 in Lvov.
In 1984 she graduated from the screenwriting and film criticism department of VGIK (workshop of L. Zaitseva, A. Medvedev). She worked as a literary secretary to V. Shklovsky, an editor at the Lenfilm movie theater.
Creator (1989, jointly with A. Golutva) and editor-in-chief of the Seance magazine. Since 1993, he has been the founder and editor-in-chief of the Seans publishing house.
Author of the concept, compiler, author of articles in the seven-volume edition "The Newest History of Russian Cinema. 1986-2000" ("Seance", 2001-2004).
