The Kovalev family is going through hard times. Papa Alexander, a former captain of the local hockey club "Taiga", cannot recover from a serious injury. Mom has to cope with the forced role of head of the family. Daughter Liza is in the midst of a crisis of adolescence, and the youngest son Zhenya has no friends - neither in the yard nor at school. And when he brings home a tiny bear cub, who had strayed from a she-bear on the outskirts of the city, their world seems to begin to come apart at the seams. But perhaps the bear is the Kovalevs’ last chance to save their family.
