Plot synopsis

Based on the novel of the same name by V. Aksenov about young doctors at the onset of their careers.
Three students celebrate the end of their medical studies in Leningrad. Sasha, who became a city dweller during his studies, will return the next day to his small town of Kruglogorie, while Liocha and Vladka will begin their service at the hospital. Six months pass, and the inhabitants of Kruglogorie already have a great deal of respect for their doctor, with whom young Dasha is in love. But a rival lies in wait for the doctor and stabs him. Sasha's friends arrive and successfully operate on the wounded man.
